Caught in between

the future and past

I have to believe

my courage will last

I have to believe

possibilities vast

wait around the corner

for me.

Caught in this time--

the here and the now--

I have to believe

I’ll keep learning how

to hike up the hill

without sitting down

and giving up where I

could be.

God, give me strength

and Truth-founded hope

to know that with You

I always can cope

to know that with You,

at the end of my rope,

You’ll always believe

in me,

and that I'm Your little

seedling.
